THREE Steps to Spring Semester Registration
Create a tentative list of spring courses:
Use APAS and/or Graduation Planner to guide your course selection. Links to APAS and Graduation planner are available at www.d.umn.edu/students
Determine which Liberal Education Program categories you have already completed. Make note of which categories you still need to complete.
Review the course requirements for the majors and minors that interest you.
Determine if any major or minor requirements overlap with your remaining Liberal EducationProgram categories.
Read course descriptions in the UMD Catalog. http://www.d.umn.edu/catalogs/current
Select 1 to 3 courses from each of your remaining categories.
Identify other 1xxx level courses that will assist you in exploring majors/minors.
Review the Spring Semester Class Schedule to determine which classes are offered in the spring. < Note that not every course is offered every semester.
Create a list of 8-12 classes you are interested in.
Obtain your own copy of the 2007-2009 UMD Catalog at CLA Student Affairs and Advising Center, 310 Kplz
