THREE Steps to Spring Semester Registration


Create a tentative list of spring courses:

Use APAS and/or Graduation Planner to guide your course selection. Links to APAS and Graduation planner are available at www.d.umn.edu/students
Obtain your own copy of the 2007-2009 UMD Catalog at CLA Student Affairs and Advising Center, 310 Kplz

Meet with your academic advisor:

Spring advisement appointments begin Tuesday, November 11, and run through the registration queue.

Register for classes:


Registration homepage: www.d.umn.edu/Register

You will need your Internet ID and password in order to access some of the screens.

Web registration screens to become familiar with:

  • 1. When Can I Register? This will tell you the earliest day and time you can register.You can register at this time or anytime after.
  • 2. Add or Change Classes: The link for adding and/or dropping classes.
  • 3. Check for Holds
    that will prevent you from registering.
  • 4. Course Information: Look to see what classes are offered, the days/times/place each class meets, the class limit and how many open seats remain in the course.

After making any change to your course schedule, view/print an updated copy of your schedule to confirm that your schedule changes were successfully completed.

Remember that you can continue to make changes to your schedule after your initial registration.
