Chill Factor

Chill Factor is a group of 16 singers: four basses, four tenors, four altos, and four sopranos. The group performs at UMD's Weber Hall three times a year.

This year's Chill Factor was formed in January of 2004. The group was not offered this past fall semester. Its addition was in great demand due to the number of students interested in singing with the Vocal Jazz Ensemble. Chill Factor has taken huge strides and proves to be a very talented group. The group includes mostly freshmen and sophomore students.

Chill Factor practices two nights a week and on some weekends. Its music variety includes ballads, jazz standards, and swing tunes. The group will continue to be a part of UMD's ensembles.

Chill Factor's final performance will be in April at Weber Hall on campus.
