The Department of Social Work offers three courses on global issues: SW 1210 Global Issues; SW 1211 Freshman Seminar: Global Issues; and SW 1212 Global Issues Honors Seminar. Each of these courses addresses important issues that span the globe, including population, food and hunger, environment and natural resources, development, conflict and security, and human rights. Each of the three courses is, however, designed to meet particular needs, and the process of the courses is different. Resources for these course and the topics covered appear below.
