Test 2 — Perfect Proof is due on Friday, 11/14!

Here are details about the test. Please note that they are different from the preliminary version you got in class!!

This is a “Perfect Proof” test. You may use any resources you want, except a written proof of the problems found elsewhere or a proof explained or given to you in any way by other people. From the moment you look at it, you cannot discuss the problems with anybody else until Friday, 10/17. After we form the collaborative groups in class on Friday, you may discuss it within and only within your group.

You need to form 5 groups, one with two people, others with three people each. We will discuss this further in class.

The test with updated instructions is here.

You have four weeks and can run as many iterations as you want. The submissions must be printed this time, not just hand-written. TeX in ps or pdf format is highly preferred, but not absolutely necessary.

This test is not just about proofs, it’s about perfect proofs!! That means you need to work out all details, and everything has to be proved or cited as a reference from either the textbook, or another book (Theorem, Lemma, Corollary, not just “as proved in class” or “as can be found it the textbook” or so).
