Course Requirements/Expectations:

  • Read the required text and assigned links.

1. Log in with your internet (email) id and the default password of "webx" which you should change once you login by clicking on the "Preferences" button at the bottom of the screen.
2. Please make sure you do not change your name in the "Preferences" panel as this will change your login name.
3. If you'd like to use your actual name in a post, please add it in preferences under "Second line of information (optional).
4. If you're not taken to our course folder, locate my name and then our EdSe 4400 folder. Please engage in discussions and read as requested.

  • Post and respond to scheduled discussion questions:
    • one original post and
    • two reflective responses per discussion question.
  • In electronic portfolio attach (in Rich Text Format (rtf), Portable File Document (pdf) format, or similarly accessible format)
    • 2 pieces of evidence per INTASC category with reflective descripton regarding how each piece of evidence demonstrates your competence with the considered standard
    • professional resumé.
    • sample cover letter.

Assessment/Grading:

25% Online (Web x) threaded discussions within dates specified

5% Completed sample cover letter embedded in electronic portfolio within dates specified on schedule

5% Completed résumé embedded in electronic portfolio within dates specified on schedule

5% Completed philosophy of education embedded in electronic portfolio within dates specified on schedule

60% Completed electronic portfolio with two pieces of evidence per INTASC category within dates specified on schedule

Thanks for being on time with your work for this course. Late posts and responses in WebX class discussion will will result in low grades or failiure. Late submissions for portfolio deadlines will result in low grades or failiure.
