Chem 2223 Analysis Report
The accuracy component of your score for analysis of an unknown is based on
the deviation of your reported result from the accepted value. The maximum score
for accuracy is 100 points. Report a single value (usually the average) for
the composition of your unknown sample.
Report Type. When you complete the form, please check one
of the following choices.
- ____First Report.
- Always select this for your first report. If you need to make make a
followup report for any reason, select one of the following options.
- ____Recalculation. Select this option to report a recalculated
value. Recalculations will be accepted in the following circumstances
- There were errors in the formula or data you used for calculating the
results of your individual determinations.
- You failed to apply appropriate statistical methods for rejection of
potential outliers (eg, the Q test), and you are reporting a new average
based on the statistical test. Except for this case, reporting a new value
based on rejection or inclusion of individual results generally will not
be accepted.
- ____Repeat New Sample. Select this option to report the
results of an analysis of a new sample.
- ____Other. Please provide an explanation if this choice
is selected. (Example: You made a data entry error in your first report.)
Your net score for Recalculation and Repeat New Sample
will be the computed score minus 5 points. If necessary, you can make additional
submissions, including your initial report and any followup reports, for each
type of sample. Please refrain from submitting unnecessary followup reports.
Report the results of your analysis online using the link below. After you
