booksRegistration And Student Status

The registration process for students in the Study in England Programme is different from the regular process at UMD. Students’ registrations will be processed each semester initially for one course number based on the total number for credits the students anticipates carrying that semester. This type of registration allows for the securing of financial aid and confirms the placement of our student participants as full time students at UMD. Students will be asked to sign a contract. Approximately two weeks after the academic program begins, you will be required to finalize your course registration for the semester. This registration will replace the original one; after this point, there will be no drop/add allowed.

You are required to take atleast 12 credits each semester in addition to the FST 2929 & 4949 course.

Registration For Fall 2006

The UMD administration supports study abroad efforts. Most collegiate units will assign earlier queue dates to their study abroad students to assist them in their efforts in returning to UMD. The programme director will assist in advising students. Students can also contact their collegiate student affairs office as well as their adviser via e-mail for additional assistance in advising. Students will be responsible for processing their registrations over the web for their semesters at UMD.

For UMD students wishing to transfer to a different UMD college or to other University of Minnesota campuses, a Change in College form must be processed. Typically the deadline for processing a Change in Program form for the following fall semester is mid-March, although students should check with the college they intend to enter for precise details. If a student is abroad, most collegiate student affairs’ units will file this form on the student’s behalf if an email request is made.

Students intending to transfer to an institution outside of the University of Minnesota system should familiarize themselves with that particular institution’s transfer and admittance policies.
