LIVING IN ENGLAND

car in EnglandAutomobiles and Rental

If your parents plan on visiting you and using a car, they will find that it is much less expensive to arrange rentals from the U.S.

It’s also a good idea, although not required, for anyone contemplating driving in a foreign country to get an International Driving Permit. Drivers with a valid American drivers’ license may obtain one for $10.00 from most AAA (American Auto Association) offices. (Two passport-type photos are required; these may be black and white.)

Just a reminder: Programme policy prohibits student participant car ownership.

Visitors under 24 may find it difficult and/or expensive to rent cars in Europe.
