The Finance Major is designed for students pursuing careers in corporate financial management, investment and portfolio management, and management of financial institutions. All students majoring in Finance must complete the following requirements. Students selected for the Financial Markets Program complete specialized Group B requirements.

FMIS 3601: Corporate Finance [3 credits] is a prerequisite for all of these courses.

GROUP A: Required [9 Credits]

FMIS 3612: Managerial Finance [3 credits]
FMIS 3644: Investment Fundamentals [3 credits]
FMIS 3647: Financial Markets & Institutions [3 credits]

GROUP B: Three courses [9 credits] from the following:

FMIS 3641: Entrepreneurial Finance [3 credits]
FMIS 3651: Working Capital Management [3 credits]
FMIS 3649: International Finance [3 credits]
FMIS 4613: Corporate Financial Strategies [3 credits]
FMIS 4615: Futures and Options [3 credits]
FMIS 4617: Management of Financial Institutions [3 credits]

Financial Markets Program: Students complete 9 credits in Financial Statement Analysis, Securities Analysis, and Portfolio Management courses.

GROUP C: Any upper-division SBE course, including FMIS 3397-Internship [3 credits]
