What are you going to do with that Masters or Ph.D.?

ABSTRACT:

Informed decision-making is crucial when considering one’s choice of vocation. Once a path is taken it may be difficult to choose another. We intend to provide data on the availabilty of careers in the field of anthropology after having obtained a Master’s or Doctorate degree in Anthropology. The intent of our group is to interview several professional anthropologists in varied industrial, educational, and scientific fields in modern America and to conduct literature research in order to describe the nature of their work and lifestyles. By questioning, experiencing, and researching the field of working anthropologists, we will provide a comprehensive view of the discipline. In other words, we will provide information on the economic, political, intellectual, social, technological, linguistic, and esthetic realms of post-graduate anthropologists.
