POL 4190:  SENIOR SEMINAR:
THE FUTURE OF THE UNITED STATES
Spring 2004

Term Paper


The term paper should be a 15-20 page essay on your understanding of (and in particular your concerns about) the future of the United States.  It should include sections on symptomology (the problems we face), diagnosis (identification of the origins of these problems), prognosis (of what will happen to us if we don't do something about them), and prescription (what we ought to do about these problems).

The term paper will be complete in three stages:  first, an initial proposal with attached bibliography;  second, a polished draft;  and third, the final version of term paper.

Due dates:

In all of these assignments you should follow this standard format.  The quality of your writing should meet these writing standards.
