Inside The Children's Garden
When you come and visit The Children's Garden Early Childhood Center you will be entering a world made for children. Everything we have at The Children's Garden is for the children. We place pictures at the child's level so they can experience them. We encourage exploration in our setting by make our center for the children.
You will walk into our center and see many pictures of different people in different lands, practicing different cultures. Our multicultural curriculum emphasis helps children begin to see that there are many different people in our world--not everyone looks like me, and live in a house like mine, or wear clothes like I do. There are pictures all around our center that depict multiculturalism. We also enjoy many different books and fairy tales from different lands and cultures.
We have designated areas in our center
- Quiet area-read books, explore independently
- Large group area-explore with others and share experiences
- Music area-room to dance and move creatively
- Science area-sand and water table exploration
- Math area-sorting, counting, blocks

Outside The Children's Garden
When the weather permits, we will be spending time outside exploring. We have a fenced playground on the side of our building.
The Children's Garden Community
We are located in a residential area. There are several small businesses one block for our location: a bakery, a shoe store, a cabinet making shop, and a bookstore. We collaborate with these businesses as much as possible. We have made many trips to the books store to read. We have had the owner of the bakery come to us and help us make cookies for snack. The owners of the show store and cabinet show are always happy to see us and enjoy talking with the children about their day. We are supported by all of our neighbors.
