Campfire Lake
Trout Baked in Foil
1 large lake trout
unsalted butter
bacon, cooked and crumbled, Optional
tomato, canned or fresh, Optional
1 onion, sliced
Spice Island lemon pepper marinade
basil, Optional
This campfire recipe can be used on the grill or in the oven or over
campfire coals. Place fish fillet(s) in double thickness of aluminum
foil. Add other ingredients. Turn up ends for handling so foil resembles
a Viking ship. Place over indirect coals or in 400° oven or campfire
coals for about 20 to 30 minutes until fish is flaky. Can be used with
other fish but it is especially good with Lake trout.
