Uncle Bob's Cheese Straws
Uncle Robert's straws are a hit as an appetizer or great with salads.
2 pounds sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
1 teaspoon baking powder, for every cup of cheese
1 cup flour, for every 2 cups of cheese
1 teaspoon salt
cayenne, to taste
2 tablespoons margarine
Mix the above ingredients. Add water to moisten (if dough sticks to
hands add more flour). Make balls the size of baseball, then roll them
out very thin like pie crust. Cut in strips and place on cookie sheet.
Bake at 375° until golden brown.
