Better Neighbors was established to build relationships between off campus college students and permanent residents in their respective neighborhoods. The program aims to provide a stimulus to encourage open communication for all members of the community. We have appointed student representatives to collect contact information, including the name, address and phone number, of all the college students in each neighborhood. The student representatives then pass out a contact sheet to every resident in the neighborhood, and explain that if they ever have a problem with one of the local college students to address him or her directly. We hope that more neighborhoods will use this information to their advantage, as many have already.
