Policy on Priority Registration

UMD provides priority or early registration, i.e., preregistration ahead of the queue, for students with sensory, physical and learning mode limitations. Students with learning mode limitations generally are only eligible for priority registration until junior status is attained. Priority registration is facilitated by Disability Services & Resources in conjunction with the collegiate units and the office of the Registrar. Students should meet with their DS&R counselor at the beginning of the term to discuss priority registration and to determine if they are eligible. Once eligibility is confirmed, it is the responsibility of the student to read and follow the guidelines and instructions sent to them via e-mail each term.
