University Diversity Statement


Disability Services & Resources (DS&R)is located in and is part of the UMD Multicultural Center. The mission of the Multicultural Center is to enhance academic achievement, create a sense of belonging, celebrate diversity, and foster positive relations among UMD students, faculty and staff. DS&R feels this is the spot to be.

To support this mission, Disability Services & Resources recognizes disability as an aspect of diversity and appreciates disability as an integral part of society. To that end, we work with students, faculty, staff and the larger community to create usable, equitable, and inclusive learning environments.
