Test ScoresTest of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is required if English is not your native language. Minimum scores required are: Applicants who are otherwise admissible but not yet fully proficient may be admitted with one or more language courses required. Minimum scores: English language courses in writing, reading, and listening/speaking may be taken by students who meet the language proficiency requirement but would like to build language skills before taking the required college writing course. High School Records/TranscriptsOfficial copies must be submitted. Transfer CreditsCitizens of foreign countries are encouraged to apply for admission to the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD). Applicants are evaluated on an individual basis, with consideration given to the academic record of each student in relation to the educational system of his or her native country. Students applying must show evidence of exceptional academic achievement and probability of success at UMD. Receiving college or university decides what credits transfer and whether those credits meet its degree requirements. Admission will not be granted without official transcripts from high school and previous colleges. |
