Campus Visit Programs
Campus visit programs give you the opportunity to explore UMD in the company of other prospective students and families. Each program includes an informational session, a campus tour, and a chance to meet with representatives from each from our five collegiate units. Visit programs last approximately 2.5 - 3 hours.
Campus Tours
Student volunteers conduct campus tours each weekday and during Campus Visit program events. During the school year, tours are available weekdays (M-F) at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., except during Winter and Spring breaks which will be at 12:00 noon. During the summer, tours are offered at 12:00 noon on weekdays (M-F). Tours last approximately 1.5 hours.
Self-Guided Tours
If you are not able to visit us during our normal tour times or a campus visit program, you are welcome to take a self-guided tour. During most weekends other than semester breaks or university holidays, many of our campus buildings are open for you to walk around and explore. Self-guided tour booklets are located at the Solon Campus Center information desk and the Kirby Student Center information desk. You can also download a copy here (in MS Word format).
