The fundraising for this endowment fund started in 1994 when the American Indian Learning Resource Center (AILRC) held the first of 3 American Indian Art Actions. February 10, 2006 & November 14, 2009 the American Indian Alumni Committee held two more Dinner/Auction Fundraisers. The proceeds from the dinner/auction, combined with the continued support of donors and supporters helped to establish the:

UMD American Indian/Alaskan Native Community Volunteer Scholarship.

We will continue to fund our scholarship fund with the sale of "Red by Nature Proud by Choice" Hats for $12.00 and T-shirts for $15.00. and also the Gawboy prints and artwork.
