Alex Kirwan's childhood home in Duluth, Minnesota was filled with antique toys, dog-eared books about monster movies, and many dozens of 16 millimeter animated cartoons. Shortly after graduating from Secondary school, Kirwan ventured to Los Angeles with hopes of finding his place in the animation industry. In the intervening years, he has contributed both as a storyboard artist and designer on productions such as: Oh Yeah Cartoons, Chalk Zone, and Time Squad, He is currently an art director for Nickelodeon's My Life as a Teenage Robot in collaboration with Rob Renzetti. Alex is on the faculty of the California College of Arts where he teaches a course in character design for animation.
