art history
This program offers introductory and advanced level courses in art history
from pre-history to the present. The visual arts are studied in relation
to cultural values and beliefs as well as to the unique perceptions of
individual artists. Students, who may major or minor in this area, are
encouraged to develop their own ideas about art and art history through
research projects and papers. The program also offers courses in the university
Liberal Education Program, and art history faculty work with graphic design
M.F.A. students and students in other campus graduate programs.
GPA of at least 2.80 in the major field required for graduation.
