Associate Professor Alison Aune created original studio pieces in response to her research of Turkish decorative arts and travel with the University of Minnesota Duluth's Turkish American Alliance.

Head of the Art Education program at UMD, Professor Aune views the duel role of the artist / art educator as a dynamic opportunity to investigate personal and global themes in creative projects and to integrate them back into the art education classroom environment.
