Digital Carpets in Motion After investigating symmetries in traditional Turkish carpets, students created their own digital carpet designs.These remixed digital carpets reflect an understanding of mathematical pattern and a playful experimentation with digital tools. Photoshop animation techniques were used to combine patterns with electronic music and generate rhythmic motion graphics. The electronic music that accompanies these Digital Carpets is from the album Niyaz Remixed, courtesy of Six Degrees Records "We wanted to create music that will be accessible both to the communities whose native music influenced this album—the Persian, Turkish, and Indian communities—and to a larger audience," says Loga.
