| This project was initiated by Alison Aune, Associate Professor of Art Education and Joellyn Rock, Assistant Professor of Art + Design at the University of Minnesota Duluth Project participants have included: Art Education, Digital Art and Design students at University of Minnesota Duluth Graphic Design students and faculty at Başkent University, Ankara, Turkey Natalie Patrick and Amber Szerpicki, Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program grant recipients at UMD Elementary and Middle School age children in Duluth Minnesota Guests from the Arts, Design and Architecture department at Başkent University, in Ankara, Turkey visited our campus in February 2007. Halime Fişenk, Murat Devrim Atilgan, and Dr. Filiz Yenişehirlioğlu met with faculty at UMD to discuss ongoing collaborative projects and future opportunities that may include an international education exchange. A public lecture on the topic of Ottoman Tiles and Ceramics was presented by Dr. Filiz Yenişehirlioğlu, Dean, Faculty of Arts, Design and Architecture. ![]() ![]() The University of Minnesota is an equal opportunity educator and employer. |
