University of Minnesota Duluth graphic design major,
Amber Szerpicki was awarded an Undergraduate Research Opportunity Grant (UROP) to create an identity and design elements to be used in the Tulip & Arabesque project. Amber researched motifs in Turkish art and created an identity that reflects both contemporary and traditional cultural imagery. Assistant Professor Joellyn Rock worked with Amber as she experimented with typography and generated multiple iterations of the tulip image seen throughout this exhibit.

Amber also created a series of posters using the tulip design as a vehicle for communicating the experiences of Art Ed students who worked with children in the Duluth Schools.
