The Office of Student
and Community Standards is responsible for the administrative functions regarding
student behavior on campus. The conduct code coordinator/academic integrity officer is
interested in making a fair determination of the truth or falsity
of the reported complaint. This is accomplished by
thoroughly reading the complainant's report and listening to
the student's side of the story. Emphasis is placed on assisting
students to understand and accept responsibility for their behavior,
and the conduct code coordinator uses educational opportunities
whenever
possible. Through its policies and procedures, a fair, equitable,
and lawful system is in place to protect the rights of students.
