Greenhouse Hours
The UMD Greenhouse is open from 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday. Contact Deb Shubat to set up a group tour at (218)726-7258. Group tours are only available in the morning. Deb Shubat is available in the greenhouse from 8:00am-2:30pm during the academic year.

Plant Labels

Each potted plant contains a label, with up to five lines of information:

  1. plant Family
  2. Genus species
  3. Cultivar or botanical variety
  4. Common name
  5. world origin

Using the scientific name, additional information about these plants can be found on the web or in the library.
