Description: Study and practice of writing tasks in science, including oral presentations. Exploration of rhetorical situations in professional practice, including research methods, document design, editing, effective collaboration, and ethical issues in the production of professional documents, such as instructions, lab reports, proposals, short and long reports, and career documents. |

Course Welcome from Instructor: Thank you for registering for Fall Semester 2007, University of Minnesota Duluth course, Comp 3150, Section 200, 3 credits, ADVANCED WRITING: SCIENCE. This course is offered through Continuing Education (CE) as an Individualized Instruction (INI). Please contact your instructor to discuss course work progress or problems. All guidelines, policies, and procedures to follow are contained in the syllabus provided by your instructor. Robin K. Fuller Students are expected to complete the class within 16 weeks. Students whose Individualized Instruction (INI) completion dates fall after the end of the academic semester will have a temporary grade of I (incomplete) posted by the instructor. At the end of the 16-week period, the I is changed to a grade when the instructor submits a change of grade form. |
