Additional Info: A-F only. Instructor consent required. Students must obtain a permission number from the instructor to register for the course.


Description: Study and practice of writing tasks in science, including oral presentations. Exploration of rhetorical situations in professional practice, including research methods, document design, editing, effective collaboration, and ethical issues in the production of professional documents, such as instructions, lab reports, proposals, short and long reports, and career documents.

Students are expected to complete the class within 16 weeks. Students whose Individualized Instruction (INI) completion dates fall after the end of the academic semester will have a temporary grade of I (incomplete) posted by the instructor. At the end of the 16-week period, the I is changed to a grade when the instructor submits a change of grade form.
