UMD Continuing Education Registration Form for Academic Credit Courses

PLEASE NOTE
  • The purpose of this form is to allow non-admitted, non-degree seeking CE students the ability to register for academic credit courses electronically.
  • This form sends your registration request in an e-mail to CE Registration Staff. You will immediately receive an e-mail which includes the information submitted on this form, indicating your request was received. You will be contacted by CE Registration Staff within two business days concerning the status of your request. Official confirmation of your registration, which includes your UMD ID number and supplemental information, will be sent to you by US Mail.
  • If you are a new student, you must activate your UMD e-mail account using your UMD ID number by visiting Student Self-Service and clicking on "Look up your e-mail name (Internet ID) " and "Account Initiation." If you have questions about setting up your e-mail account, call the ITSS Help Desk at 218-726-8847. University assigned student e-mail accounts are the University's official means of communication.
  • Before registering, check the availability of the courses you wish to take at Course Information.
  • If you are an admitted UMD student, please register for your classes here.

IMPORTANT TUITION AND FEES INFORMATION
  • NOTE: By registering for classes, you enter into a legally binding contract to pay all tuition and fees, including any non-refundable fees. See the Web at Tuition and Fees for additional information.
  • Billing due dates are available at SAR Fee Chart. Payments are on time when received at the cashier's window by 3:30 p.m., or by 5:00 p.m. when paying online.

IMPORTANT BILLING AND PAYMENTS INFORMATION
  • The University has an electronic billing and payment system. You will not receive a paper bill. All currently enrolled students with a University e-mail account will be billed electronically and electronic payments are also accepted.
  • You will receive notifications at your University e-mail account when your bill is ready to pick up, and you will be directed to a secure Web site to view and/or print your billing statement.
  • Payments can be made electronically from a United States bank account or with a credit card using UM Pay, or in person at windows 11 and 12 in the Darland Administration Building lobby. Students can also mail their payment to: UMD Cashier's Office, 140 Darland Administration Building, 1049 University Drive, Duluth, MN 55812-3011.
  • If you choose payment by credit card: MasterCard, Discover/Novus, and American Express are the only accepted credit cards. All credit card payments will be assessed a non-refundable 2.75% fee.
  • Credit card payments can only be accepted through the UM Pay Web site, and not in person or through this registration form.
  • All CE non-degree seeking students are required to pay their tuition, fees, and all other charges in full by the first billing day of the semester. Failure to do this will result with you being cancelled from your classes.
  • Another payment option for CE non-degree seeking students is to apply for the CE Payment Plan which enables them to make three payments during the semester, instead of paying their balance in full by the first day of the semester.
