Fall 2008

2008 - 2009 Tuition and Fees

By registering for classes, you enter into a legally binding contract to pay all tuition and fees, including any nonrefundable fees. Tuition is subject to change without notice.

Tuition at the University of Minnesota Duluth is assessed according to your student classification and program (undergraduate, post-baccalaureate, departmental master’s, Graduate School, etc.), your residency status, and whether you come from a state or province with which the University has a reciprocity agreement. In addition to tuition, you may be charged fees based on a variety of criteria.

Credit tuition rates and fees for the 2008-2009 academic year have not yet been determined. Information about 2008-2009 tuition rates and fees should be available by mid-summer 2008 online at www.d.umn.edu/umdbo/sar.html, or call 218/726-8113 to request a new tuition and fees schedule at that time.

Residency Status Definitions

You pay the resident rate if you are classified as a Minnesota resident.

You pay the non-resident rate if you have been classified as a non-resident, non-reciprocity student.

You pay reciprocity rates if you are a resident of Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, or Manitoba; you are an enrolled undergraduate student at the University of Minnesota; and you have been approved for reciprocity by your state of residency.

For more information, contact the Resident Classification and Reciprocity Office Chair, 218/726-7849. Reciprocity agreements for admitted Graduate School students exist with only North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and Manitoba.
