The youth today
face many challenges: one is addiction. This training will help you become
aware of the effects of youth chemical use, family issues and educational
problems. The workshop will focus on the difference between chemical abuse,
dependence and behavioral issues and identify commonly abused chemicals.

offering practical strategies, suggestions and interventions, will discuss
children's and adolescents’ understanding of death, how they grieve
and how they can be helped before and after the death of a family member,

death and crisis.

the variety of ways that literacy – reading, writing, and speaking

traditional ‘home,’ the language arts curriculum. We will spend
time looking at research in the brain and language learning, practical advice
for literacy in the curriculum, and specific lesson plans.

Child Abuse Reporting: What Teachers and Other Mandated Reporters Need to
Know

“Mandated Reporters Act” as well as their duties of reporting
