University-assigned student e-mail accounts (your d.umn.edu account) are the University's official means of communication. You need to regularly check this account. It is recommended that you do not forward mail from this account, as you may lose important attachments. If you choose to forward e-mail sent to your University e-mail account, you are still responsible for all information, including all attachments. You will be notified by e-mail of any changes to the classes for which you are registered.
You can also dial into your account from a home computer with a modem by going to www.d.umn.edu/students/ and clicking on the “E-mail” link under Technology.
