ACTIVATE UMD E- MAIL ACCOUNT
First time users must ACTIVATE THEIR UMD E-MAIL ACCOUNT* At: www.d.umn.edu/register click on “Look up your email name (Internet ID)” and “Account Initiation.” If you have any problems setting up your account, please call the UMD ITSS Help Desk at 218-726-8847.

 

POLICY FOR PAYMENT OF TUITION, FEES, & CHARGES
Per University Policy, FAILURE TO PAY IN FULL, ANY AND ALL CHARGES OVER $100 in your Student Accounts Receivable account (includesTuition, fees, bookstore charges, etc.) ** BY EACH AND EVERY INSTALLMENT DUE DATE OF THE SEMESTER WILL RESULT IN BEING DROPPED FROM ALL COURSE(S).

INSTALLMENT PLAN
CONTINUING EDUCATION STUDENTS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR THE UMD STUDENT ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE INSTALLMENT PLAN which enables a student the option of making installment payments UNLESS the student applies and is accepted for this plan by applying through Continuing Education.

Make an appointment to meet with a CE counselor to apply:

 

AMOUNT DUE
YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE A PAPER BILL.
The University has an electronic billing and payment system. You will receive notification at your UMD e-mail account when your bill is ready. This will happen two days after registration, but not earlier than six weeks before the beginning of the term.

PAYMENT METHODS
UMD accepts checks, money orders, American Express, Discover Card, or MasterCard.
UMD DOES NOT ACCEPT VISA.

You may pay online, in person, or by mail as outlined here.

These services are provided to you for the term in which you are actively registered in credit courses. Some restrictions on access apply. Additional information may be found here.



REGISTRATION AND CANCELLATION OF CLASSES
CE students who have taken classes at UMD within the last two terms are eligible to register and cancel courses directly online.

When canceling a course follow the deadline dates and requirements found in the Cancel/Add table for the semester in which you are enrolled. The date you submit a course cancellation by telephone, mail (postmark date), fax, or in person is the date used to determine your refund amount. Refunds apply to tuition and course fees, but not to certain special fees.
