The UMD library has many additional resources. Check them out at http://www.d.umn.edu/lib/.
To qualify for UMD Library Distance Education Services you must:
As a distance education student, you are eligible to have library materials shipped to your home. The library pays for outgoing shipping; you are responsible for the cost of return shipping. You are responsible for shipped library materials from the time you receive them until they are received by the UMD Library upon return.
Step 1: Complete our registration form to confirm your eligibility.
Step 2: Check the library catalog to find call number information and to determine whether you are requesting UMD Library materials or material from other libraries.
Step 3: Fill out a Book/Video Request Form or a Periodical Request Form to request UMD Library materials. You will need to fill out a separate form for each item. To have Interlibrary Loan materials shipped to you, choose "UMD Distance Learner" under Status when filling out Interlibrary Loan forms.
You can expect to receive your requested materials within 3-5 business days. However, Inter-Library Loan items may take 7 - 14 days to get an item from the lending Library. Shipped materials are subject to all Library circulation policies.
