Certificate Program
Application Process

Students should submit a Certificate Application before completing the required certificate coursework. There is a non-refundable application fee of $35. Students have 1 year from the time they complete the required coursework to submit the Certificate Application.

After 1 year, students are no longer eligible for admission to the certificate program without the consent of the certificate faculty liaison.  In some cases, additional coursework may be required.  Admission to the certificate program after 1 year is not guaranteed, but is done on a case-by-case basis.

Instructions for Certificate Application:

1. Request an official transcript be sent from each college you have attended to:

2. You will receive a letter notifying you of your admission status after your completed application, your transcripts, and your application fee are received and processed.
   
   
3. Contact Suzan Gonia (218-726-8149 or sgonia1@d.umn.edu ) if you have any questions regarding certificate admission.
   
   
4. Apply Online Please be aware: Continuing Education Certificates are not eligible for financial aid.
   
   
5. Print a copy of the Application Form.
   
   
6. Immunization form (Wolf Ridge Program students only).

CE Students: Once you are admitted to a Certificate Program use this link to Register For Classes.

Continuing Education students (CE) students who have been admitted to a certificate program may now submit their certificate course registeration online. This is only for CE students. Regular UMD admitted students should register for certificate classes using the same method they use to register in all other courses.
