The format of this training is an on-demand, self-paced (non-instructor) led course. As a professional, you will gain a firm understanding of the reasons stormwater causes damage to the ecosystems.
In addition, you will begin to identify strategies that can be used to eliminate or minimize effects to downstream ecosystems.
From this training, you will be able to:
Identify the concept of hydrology and its relation to stormwater;
Compare watershed examples and the impact watersheds have on the geographical area of your selection;
Examine and evaluate water quality and quantity issues surrounding stormwater runoff, as it relates to lakes and streams in cold climates;
Explain how stream and lake habitats are impacted by stormwater runoff in cold climates.
