We reviewed 2 new course proposals and 2 course change proposals.

CSD 4010

Proposal is approved with the following minor changes

  • Since the course name has changed, complete #1, #2
  • Specify the minimum and maximum number of credits (#3, #4)

CSD 4011

Approval is deferred. If the department wishes to resubmit the proposal for review, it is recommended the following issues first be addressed:

  • Specify faculty sponsor in #6
  • Indentify terms offered in #10
  • Are the program standards referred to in #5 and #21 accreditation standards? If so, identify.
  • Check prereqs to make sure they are parallel to 4010 in #15. Do you need 3241 for both 4010 and 4011?
  • Identify staffing implications in #23. How will this course be absorbed into your existing faculty workload.
  • Identify how you will identify academic standing as outlined in #24
  • Provide more specificity in conceptual outline (#25) and in Objectives and Assessments in #26.  Provide an example what program standards would you expect to be present in the analysis of the learning experience, in reflections and so on in #25. Articulate those in the objectives/assessments in #26.
  • Identify how expectations and course and assessments differ from CSD 4010
