Final Exam Policy
The general theme of the policy is that final exams should be given when and where scheduled unless the dean grants an exception.
It is my intention to conservatively enforce this policy. There are impacts that are not imagined when things go too far.
An on-line form for such request will be coming out early this fall. The procedure is being outlined and will be on the agenda for the October 4th meeting.
Faculty will make the request to DHs.
DHs will discern and be conservative.
DHs will recommend to Dean.
Dean will Approve or not.
Dean will not consider request with out DHs knowledge and/or input.
This is also in compliance with the UMD policy.
