About Angie
My name is Angela Zahn and I am one of the toddler educators here at UMD Children's Place. I graduated from UMD in December of 2005 with my B.A.S. in Early Childhood Education. I have had many wonderful experiences working with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, first graders, and third graders. My enthusiasm, ambition, energy and heart lies within a Toddler Classroom and here I am!!!
Another interest of mine is working with children who have special needs. I am currently pursuing my degree in Early Childhood Special Education, and will hopefully be a great resource here at UMD Children’s Place.
I have a school-aged daughter that occupies my time when I am not at UMD Children's Place. She is a very energetic girl that keeps me on my toes, just as much as the toddlers do! I spend all of my time with my daughter and my extended family. We enjoy visiting friends and family, skating, sliding, swimming, and 4-wheeling. My parents live on a lake, so my daughter and I love spending time at their home and with them!
I was born and raised in International Falls, MN (a.k.a. Ice Box of the Nation). I graduated from Falls High School in 2000 and went on to attend Rainy River Community College, of where I received my Associate of Arts Degree. Then I came to UMD to further my education and here I am at UMD Children's Place.
