About Katherine

My name is Katherine Regas and I am an Assistant Teacher in the Infant Room at UMD’s Children’s Place.  I began working here in May 2008.  I am a native duluthian and graduated from the College of St. Scholastica in May 1996 with a degree in Psychology and Early Childhood Education.  I have worked as a preschool teacher since then and was also the Education and Disabilities Program Manager for Fond du Lac Head Start for seven years.  I am excited to be working back in my community and really enjoy being a part of the children’s lives while helping to fostering their social and emotional growth.
