Community Partners

If you are looking for volunteers, please fill out a volunteer request form.

Community Partners are expected to:

  • Orient students to the organization's mission and goals so that they can better understand their role within the agency.
  • Provide work that is significant and challenging to the student.
  • Provide the training, supervision, feedback and resources necessary for student success in their service-learning experience.
  • Ensure a safe work environment for the student to perform service.
  • Provide an accessible contact person for the student, instructor and OCE.
  • Clearly communicate tasks, responsibilities and expectations of the students. The designated supervisor should give each student a clear understanding of the limits of the student's authority and responsibility.
  • Give students procedures to follow on how to report uncomfortable situations, harassment, suspected abuse, and other problems at the site.
