Volunteering Workshop

Wondering how to get involved with volunteering in the Duluth Community?  If you are an education major and need volunteer hours for your program, this is the perfect opportunity to learn more about placement into schools.  There are also opportunities available in a variety of community organizations.  Also, learn about the UMD volunteer fair coming up in February.  Volunteering is also a great resume booster and will look good in the eyes of any future employer.  Come and learn more about how you can make the difference in the lives of others through volunteering.  Placement information will also be available for those who are interested in committing to a volunteer experience.

Health Services Hot Topics-Stress Management Series

During the stressful time of the semester it is important to learn how to manage your stress.  Heatlh Services will be presenting strategies, techiniques, and providing ways for you to overcome stress.  The workshop will include some discussion and also a lot of useful information on stress management.

Major Decisions

This information session offers students the opportunity to learn about resources and methods to use that will help confirm a major that best fits an individual's personality and type. Students will also get connected with advising tools, become aware of the recommended time line to declare and how to declare the major.

Identify, Create, and Set Holistic Life Goals

In this active workshop you will be lead through a step-by-step process that will help reveal identify, create, and set holistic life goals.  To lead a truly full and fulfilling life you need to pay just attention to all areas or your life such as relationships, leisure, financial/material, personal growth, lifelong learning, and career.  These areas of your life are connected to each other and in looking at the big picture of your life, you can set goals worthy of the life you want to lead.    Attend this workshop and find out what your most important life goals REALLY are.
