Macintosh OS 10.5 - Leopard

We have one DVD for installing the new Mac OSX - Leopard - 10.5. Upgrade information:

  • Karen Plass can upgrade your Mac to this new Mac operating system.
  • If you want to upgrade your computer yourself, you may borrow our copy of the DVD from the CEHSP Academic Technologists: Jim Antilla, Sam Bradley or Karen Plass, in Bohannon 116.

Caveats/Advice

  • This software can be installed ONLY on university-owned equipment.
  • As with any major software upgrade, you should have a good backup before proceeding.
  • For installers only: Joel Ness recommends that, instead of doing the default upgrade, we click on the "Options" button in the hard drive selection screen, and choose "Archive and Install." Archive and Install moves existing system files to a folder named Previous System, and then does a clean (re)install of the Mac OS X software.
