Meeting 2: Summary

We welcomed Shane Campbell, the new student AISES representative. Shane is a Chemical Engineering major. The definitions of diversity, equity and social justice drafted by a subcommittee were discussed and revised. CCT identified some possible Goal 2 activities to work on during 2011-12: assessment of the campus climate, training and education, developing a baseline inventory ofcurrent equity and diversity activities, policies and procedures. Finally, members were reminded of the Diversity Commission project “How did you Come to be Here?”.
