Further discussion on the definitions redrafted by Susana and Jennifer resulted in a lot of agreement. Members agreed that it is important to identify measurable goals that reflect campus progress in creating an inclusive campus. UN-Fair posters were distributed followed by a discussion of how to roll this campaign out at UMD. Some possibilities are Women’s Studies courses, liberal education courses in the diversity category, KSL leadership program, Human Diversity course, UCTs. Additional workshops by the St. Paul Foundation are possible. The focus group project for GLBT students, students with disabilities and women has been initiated. Finally, the OED staff visit on Nov 3 was discussed including their hiring of an analyst to provide leadership in data-driven decision-making.
