Strategic Planning Mission Statement Subcommittee

The Strategic Planning Mission Statement Subcommittee drafted an updated version of the UMD Mission Statement. This updated statement was available for public comment and was endorsed by the Strategic Planning Steering Committee and Campus Assembly and approved by Chancellor Black.

The members of the Mission Statement Subcommittee included:

  • Vickery French, Academic Administration
  • Judith Karon, Human Resources
  • Jenny McCabe, UMD student
  • Bill Payne, Theatre
  • Megan Perry-Spears, First Year Experience Program
  • Michael Pfau, Communication
  • Ken Risdon, Writing Studies
  • Corbin Smyth, Kirby Student Center
