"THE BIG CHILL"

1. Write a question that you think would produce an interesting discussion about "The Big Chill." Think about what the film reveals about the concerns of the people who grew up during the sixties as they mature in the eighties. What interests them? What bothers them? What is the moral of the story? What do the clothes, cars and homes of the main characters reveal about where the sixties led them? (5 minutes).

2. Write a brief explanation of the reason you think your question should produce a good discussion. (3 minutes)

3. Share your questions and explanations with the students in your group. Spend a bit of time talking with each other about each of the questions to see where they lead you. (15 minutes)
