A living example comes from a man named Larry who worked directly after highschool at HOM Furniture instead of going to college to save money for a car. He got decent grades in highschool but when he decided to go back to college he never studied and had no idea what he was doing. Also, he was older, by three years, than the rest of the students at his campus so when he wanted to go out and drink with friends nodody was old enough.. He ended up dropping out because his study habits were so rusty and his grades were bad.
Some agrue that people need to save money if they do not qualify for any financial aid. Most colleges are reasonable when disributing subsidized loans as well as work study options that make it easier for a student to fund thier education. Some people might not be mature enough to handle college and they might be wasting their money. Going to college can make a person grow up very fast. The experience of being out on your own and being the only one responsible for your actions can be a real awakening experience for anyone.
