News of the Association
Our Iranian affiliate, Anjoman-e Farhangi-ye Motāl`at-e Javāme`-e
Farsi-zabān, held its first elections on February 23, 2006. The following
were elected to its Board of Directors (hey`at-e dabirān):
Dr. Javad Fa`al Alavi
Dr. Taghi Azadarmaki
Dr. Reza Fazel
Dr. Jaleh Shaditalab
Dr. Vahid Shalchi
Dr. Gholamabbas Tavassoli
Dr. Seyed Ahmad Vakilian
The following were elected alternate member (`ala'l-badal)
Dr. Yousef Amir Arjomand
Dr. Behrooz Mahmoodi Bakhtiari
Dr. Mehrangiz Mazaheri
The new Board met on February 28 and elected Dr. Taghi Azadarmaki its
Secretary (dabir). This would make him the Director of ASPS Regional Council
for Iran.
